Altus Wineries & Vineyards
Nestled in the fertile Arkansas river valley, Mount Bethel Winery has been in existance for five generations. The original wine cellar built in the early 1900s is now the wine tasting room. The retail sales outlet is open Sunday through Saturday and wine tasting and tours are available.
The vineyard was the dream of a 13-year old, Audrey House. In 2001 Chateaux Aux Arc opened its winery selling 1999 and 2000 vintages. Thee tasting room is open to the public seven days a week and private tastings can be arranged.
Cowie Wine Cellars provides wine tasting and tours the same as other wineries, but the difference is some of the unique touches. Visitors can see the Gallery of Barrels, have a snack at the Grape Arbor, buy wine-making supplies or stay in the Winery Bed And Breakfast.
Five generations of Post's have been making wine since 1880. Located in the heart of the Ozarks, visitors to Post Familie Vineyards can sample the wines and purchase wine from the gift shop. Tours are available upon request and the winery is open seven days a week.
